ROLE:

About the project.
This project was created as part of my Digital Content Designer studies at Medieinstitutet. The assignment was to develop a visual identity for a place I have a strong connection to.
For Resarö, I focused on what makes the island truly unique: Ytterby Mine and its remarkable scientific history. Eight chemical elements were identified from minerals found there, and four – yttrium, terbium, erbium and ytterbium – were named after Ytterby.
I used the periodic table as the foundation for the visual concept, translating its structure into the logo, graphic elements, colour system and image treatments. The identity was then applied across a website concept, social media and branded applications, combining Resarö’s archipelago character with its scientific heritage.
